We've had so many new customers, collaborations, functions, and impulses in 2024! It's quite difficult to focus on the highlights and not write an entire book. So, we'll keep it short – we promise
Welcome to the year in review and behind the scenes at fieldux!
In 2024, we and our customers were really going for it! For another year, fieldux was able to successfully support order processing with software and app.
fieldux was on the road with technicians on six continents: from Singapore, Brazil, Alaska, and Indonesia to the Canary Islands, Denmark, Shanghai, the USA, France, Poland, South Africa, Australia, and Chile. Sometimes, it was just a quick few days' work and other times, it was a big project like a retrofit or commissioning, which took up to several months. In total, over 10,000 timesheets were sent through the app and over 20,000 operations, or customer orders, were processed with the fieldux Planner.
But it wasn't just our customers who were busy this year. Our software developers also have a lot to report:
26 releases and 40+ shorts on how to use the software show just how much work has gone into it.
Our developers got a lot done, implementing lots of new features. From a brand new app version to photo documentation and push notifications, we've got metrics for analysis, the global filter, a feature matrix, and project planning with phases. We base our roadmap on what our customers need, so we were able to quickly identify the biggest wishes for 2024. Let's take a closer look at some of the new features:
Our customers were really keen on project-based order processing with project phases. Since spring 2024, we've been able to plan large orders in phases and assign employees, tools, and vehicles to these phases.
This has made scheduling much clearer and given us more detailed info on the status of large projects and sub-projects. Technicians know exactly when they're deployed and for which phase they're working, as well as how long they're scheduled to be on site.
Customer feedback has been really positive, saying this is a game changer.
We've also added a new global filter function. This is really going to be useful for our customers with international branches and cross-departmental collaboration. They can now share data between branches and departments and schedule technicians across departments and locations. Now, communication will flow seamlessly. This means that fieldux can be used as a single source of truth for all cross-departmental collaboration between different branches and business units at our customers.
Last but not least, there is an expanded reporting system. As well as timesheets for working time documentation, the technician can now access customized maintenance checklists, installation instructions, reports, and acceptance protocols during the assignment. The technician completes the checklists, instructions, reports, and logs during or after the job, and the customer signs them off if needed.
There was a lot going on outside of product development too. With some new faces in marketing and sales, we kicked off a great year of events. From Stuttgart, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Essen, Berlin and Wiesbaden to Krefeld, Detmold, Bonn, Düsseldorf and our home base of Aachen, we attended various events... it was definitely not boring! With new trade fair gear and a few customer presentations under our belts, we had some great conversations, learned a lot, grew our network and made some new contacts.
We've been an active member of the KVD – Kundendienst-Verband Deutschland e.V. und beim VDMA and the VDMA since this year. We've taken part in expert forums and exhibited at events. We've also been awarded the "Software Hosted in Germany" seal by Bitmi – Bundesverband IT-Mittlestand e.V.
Needless to say, nothing beats hearing directly from customers about their experiences. It gives us a great insight into their use cases and best practices. We just wanted to say a big 'thank you' to our customers for all their support.
Finally, we would like to mention our customer visits and onboarding training sessions. Personal exchange and constant contact continue to be particularly important to us, so we spent a couple of hours on the highway. This year, we were drawn to the far north. SMM – the leading international trade fair for the maritime industry in Hamburg – was a successful event for fieldux and brought with it several new opportunities and customers. Quietly, in secret, we are dreaming of a second fieldux office in Hamburg. However, our wish list will probably not reach the North Pole in time this year.
After last week's Christmas party, we are already looking forward to next year. Many exciting events await us and January is packed with onboarding appointments for new customers and user training sessions. We are excited to see many new and familiar faces again right at the start of the year. Full of drive and motivation, we look forward to the coming year 2025 and are sure that Feldux will be even better.
We'd like to wish all our customers, partners, contacts, and friends a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! We'll catch up again in 2025!
Best wishes from Aachen!
